Onions aren't only healthy. They can even prevent obesity, according to lifestyle magazine 'Women's Health' in a recent edition.

This data was shown in a topical scientific research carried out by 'The Journal of Nutrition' from the US. According to the research, onions have an inhibitory activity against inflammations in the body, which apparently occur through fat and unhealthy food and cause obesity.

According to scientists the substance rutin is fore-mostly responsible for the beneficial effects from onions. The antioxidant effect ensures that excess pounds have no chance, says the lifestyle magazine
